My Story

I am a registered nurse and independent nurse prescriber with a strong academic background and a deep commitment to improving access to hormone health care.

I began my nursing career in 2016 and qualified in 2019. Since then, I have worked primarily in acute and emergency medicine, supporting people at some of their most vulnerable moments. Alongside my clinical work, I completed a Master’s degree in Public Health in 2020, which strengthened my understanding of health inequalities and the systemic gaps that affect patient care.

In 2022, I qualified as a prescriber and completed further training in aesthetics. While this broadened my clinical skillset, it did not offer the professional fulfilment I was seeking. It was my own experience of perimenopause that truly reshaped my professional direction. As my symptoms began to affect how I felt in my body, my work, and my identity, I sought support — and found that meaningful, timely care was often difficult to access.

Motivated by both lived experience and clinical insight, I chose to specialise in hormone health. I have completed the British Menopause Society’s course in the Management of Menopause, strengthening my ability to provide safe, evidence-based care in line with national guidance.

Almost all of the women around me were experiencing similar challenges, which highlighted just how widespread this issue is. Women’s health remains underfunded and underprioritised, and I believe passionately that people deserve better access to informed, compassionate, and individualised care.

InBalance was created to offer a calm, professional alternative: a service where people are listened to, supported, and treated with respect. This work is not simply a business for me — it is the direction I want my career, and my contribution to healthcare, to take.
